Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead electrical design efforts for manufacturing projects. You will deliver technical excellence, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support business development with proposals and client meetings.

The position emphasizes client satisfaction, clear communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach across disciplines. The role requires a PE or willingness to pursue it, 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years' electrical engineering experience.
• PE certification or willingness to pursue is required.
• Experience with electrical design for building projects.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong client relationship and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC and ANSI/IEEE codes.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of power distribution, motor feeders and starters.
• Support building power and lighting system design, including special systems.
• Prepare engineering documents and equipment specs.
• Perform voltage drop and short-circuit calculations; arc fault analysis.
• Coordinate with other departments, project team and contractors.
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
