Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Cincinnati, OH, to lead power distribution design for advanced facilities with a remote or hybrid work model. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering design experience for buildings.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Ability to perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, arc flash).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design of facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, equipment & construction specifications and hazardous area classifications.
• Evaluating the desired goal of the system and developing, designing, and selecting the required equipment or power/controls to achieve the goal.
• Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.
• Directing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
• Using engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.
