Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for advanced facilities and life sciences projects. The role can be remote or hybrid, with on-site involvement for startup and coordination with clients, owners, and contractors.

The candidate should have 10+ years in electrical design, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and NEC knowledge, with strong leadership and communication skills to guide multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred for leadership and project oversight.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for buildings.
• Solid knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Able to perform power system studies: short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, arc flash.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and construction specs.
• Lead design reviews and ensure conformance to codes and client requirements.
• Coordinate with project team and client during design, procurement, and startup.
• Oversee designer work and provide technical leadership to staff.
• Interact with client, owner, and contractors to support on-site construction.
