Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to deliver complex electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications systems for advanced facilities, including semiconductor and mission-critical sites.

You’ll use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create layouts, 2D/3D models and deliverables, coordinate with engineers, mentor drafters, and help shape staffing and project schedules while supporting a hybrid U.S. work model.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design using 3-D modeling/drafting.
• At least 5 years of design experience with Revit.
• At least 5 years of experience as a BIM lead.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical design requirements.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• CAD/drafting of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications systems.
• Create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling and electronic deliverables.
• Deliver complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads.
• Develop staffing plans based on deliverables and project schedule.
• Mentor subordinates and guide junior designers/drafters.
