AEP in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to perform complex engineering work and lead project teams, applying advanced knowledge to deliver safe, efficient, and economical solutions. You’ll guide engineers, coordinate activities, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will mentor engineers, develop project plans with measurable goals and budgets, analyze system relationships, and communicate results to management and regulatory bodies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering ABET-accredited or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license encouraged and preferred.
• 4+ years related engineering experience; or 2 years with Master's/PhD.

Responsabilidades

• Perform complex engineering work on assigned projects using advanced knowledge.
• Lead, coordinate and guide engineers and other team members.
• Develop plans with measurable goals and projected costs/budgets.
• Analyze interrelationships between systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and external regulations.
• Communicate findings and lead meetings with management and regulators.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; collaborate across disciplines.
