Job summary

AEP in Roanoke, VA is recruiting a Station Crew Supervisor to lead the Station Electrician and Station Servicer teams in construction, maintenance and operations, and to respond to station trouble calls and restoration work. You will plan, schedule, supervise and ensure safety compliance while directing work across multiple crews at the Roanoke site.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, with 6+ years in station work and 4+ years in supervision, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance.
Minimum 6 years of station experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Valid state driver's license and ability to meet vehicle operation requirements.
Strong knowledge of HV electrical equipment operation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the activity of the crew in construction, maintenance, operation and restoration work.
Ensure safe use of tools and equipment and training of personnel.
Plan short-range work and coordinate with other crews on the site.
Respond to emergencies and outages as directed.
Procure materials and maintain records and reports as required.
Maintain good relationships with employees, vendors and the public.
Attend supervisory and planning meetings and apply company policies.
