Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Chicago, IL to design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration. You will develop designs, create calculations, and coordinate with architecture and MEP disciplines on diverse building projects.

The candidate will lead project teams, manage workloads, and contribute to a culture of integrated design and sustainability. A PE license and 7+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years' experience designing power and lighting systems on complex projects.
• Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firms on commercial, educational, sports, workplace, or civic projects.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Lead project teams and manage team workloads.
