DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for a variety of building types in Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN. You’ll translate concepts into construction-ready drawings and calculations, collaborating with architectural and MEP teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivering integrated design solutions with BIM capabilities, including Revit MEP, on complex projects with a strong sustainability focus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer on complex projects.
• Experience designing power and lighting building systems.
• Experience with BIM and Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Lead project teams and manage workloads.
• Mentor emerging professional engineers.
