Job summary

DLR Group in Minneapolis or Chicago seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems from schematic to construction administration for diverse building types. You will develop power and lighting designs, prepare calculations and drawings, and coordinate with architecture and other disciplines.

The role requires a Licensed PE, 7+ years of experience, and BIM/Revit MEP proficiency, with leadership of project teams on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.
• Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firm on Commercial Educational, Sports, Workplace, or Civic projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.

Location: Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at DLR Group you will be responsible for the design of electrical systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will be responsible for participating in the design process of electrical building systems and preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and calculations.

The successful candidate will:

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.

• Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large, complex projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Power, Lighting and low voltage systems design experience.
• Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
• An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.

Pay Range

$100,000 - $144,430 USD
