Job summary

Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc seeks a senior electrical engineer to shape power facility projects across North America. You will lead design efforts, perform power system analyses, and ensure NEC/NFPA/API compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 15 years of experience, with strong leadership, collaboration, and communication. You will mentor junior engineers and drive projects within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Self directs work with limited supervision and provides guidance to others.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration across teams.
• Knowledge of industry codes NEC, NFPA and API; ETAP software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards with minimal supervision.
• Reviews engineer and designer work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Leads mid to large-sized projects and proposals.
• Develops design approaches to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and coordinates with cross-functional teams.
