Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to lead a design team responsible for electrical raceway systems on power generation EPC projects.

The role interfaces with multiple disciplines, manages budgets and schedules, and collaborates with construction teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs aligned with client expectations and Kiewit's legacy of excellence.

Based in a listed office location and willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical design experience
• Experience leading electrical design teams
• Experience managing budget and schedule
• Power generation experience preferred
• Experience in SmartPlant 3D
• Ability to conceptualize in a 3D environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of electrical designers in developing electrical raceway systems
• Manage electrical design activities against project schedule and budget
• Track and report design progression to project management
• Complete monthly reports for quantities, schedule and forecasting
• Interface with construction to ensure design is safe and constructible
• Coordinate with other disciplines, engineers and construction
• Check design deliverables for accuracy and adherence to standards
• Utilize applicable engineering codes and project database processes
• Mentor design team and support field resolution during construction
