Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in the United States seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead design project teams across power, process, healthcare, aviation, and industrial facilities. You will guide electrical design from conceptual phase through construction, aligning designs with budget, schedule and client needs while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires extensive experience, strong knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from ABET accredited program, minimum 7 years experience.
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology with FE and minimum 7 years experience.
• Master Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 6 years experience.
• Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques, ANSI and IEEE standards, strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading discipline design for large projects and delegating tasks to team members.
• Ability to travel and perform QA/QC reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications, RFQs, technical bid summaries and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, other disciplines and designers.
• Develop project schedules, scope, budgets and staffing plans; manage change orders.
• Lead QA/QC and ensure compliance with safety policies.
