Job summary

PRIME AE Group, a nationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE Level) for our Maryland team. You will lead electrical system design across commercial and institutional projects, collaborating with architects and other engineers from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Visual.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical system design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and bonding, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical systems from concept through final construction documentation.
• Perform electrical analyses and calculations to support system design and performance.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges across multiple project types.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, structural engineers, and contractors for integrated delivery.
• Review and apply local, state, and federal codes and standards.
