Job summary

Alexandria, VA-based firm seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead an Electrical Team on building electrical systems and infrastructure across multiple projects. The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years of experience, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, plans, specifications, and construction phase services; mentoring junior staff; and pursuing new opportunities with clients. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and NCEES registration preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering for building systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical team staffing and performance evaluations.
• Design site and facilities electrical, lighting, and telecommunications systems.
• Prepare design documents for all design phases.
• Perform short circuit, voltage drop, and load calculations.
• Provide construction phase project services.
• Travel as needed.
