Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design for architectural and engineering projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers to develop energy efficient, sustainable, and reliable concepts, and you will consult with clients to determine needs and budgets while defining functional requirements for new or renovated systems.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, a PE license (or eligible by comity), and strong proficiency with Autodesk MEP

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering is required.
10+ years of job-related experience is required.
Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain by comity) in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office.
Advanced knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office.
Proven competence in electrical system design including lighting, power distribution, life safety analysis, and code compliance.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents for contractors with accuracy.
Act as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, make technical decisions, review and stamp construction documents.
Prepare life cycle cost comparisons and represent client in bids and award processes.
Develop client relationships and participate in firm-wide project interviews.
Supervise project team members and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
Carry out on-site observation and administration of construction contracts.
