Job summary

Black & Veatch is hiring an Electrical Engineer for Industrial Water projects. The role focuses on leading electrical design across industries, mentoring staff, and guiding execution in a client-facing environment. Based in a hybrid setting, this position emphasizes quality, safety, and engineering excellence.

You’ll contribute to data centers, semiconductors, mining, and life sciences sectors while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license in US jurisdiction, with reciprocity.
• 5–8 years in industrial water electrical design, planning and construction services.
• Experience developing execution processes, standards, and training.
• Consulting and Industrial Water/Wastewater experience preferred.
• Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including VFDs and standby generators.
• Experience in client-facing/business development roles.
• Power system analysis experience in SKM/ETAP or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for industrial water/wastewater projects (Data Centers, Semiconductor, Mining, F&B, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Power, Oil & Gas).
• Mentor and coach team members; work with clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate with EPC, FEL/FEED, Design-Build delivery models.
• Provide technical guidance on client standards to staff.
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and plant electrical systems.
• Support business development for electrical services.
