Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Electrical Engineer for Water/Wastewater in the United States. The role requires 5 years of electrical design experience and a background in water projects.

You will lead project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team, providing technical guidance to engineering staff and collaborating with clients. This staff position supports design centers, coordinates with local utilities, and involves startup and testing of major electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment checks as required.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for complex engineering problems for existing client facilities.
• Lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team.
• Provide technical guidance on client standards to engineering and technician staff in regional design centers.
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and plant electrical systems for client consultations.
• Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
• Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.
• Review of supplier submittals.
• Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area.
