Job summary

PENTA ENGINEERING CORPORATION in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial power, controls, and automation. You will lead design, specify equipment, review drawings, and mentor staff on complex projects.

Required PE registration and familiarity with NEC/IEEE standards. The role involves frequent travel within the US and occasional international travel. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering preferred; B.S. with relevant experience will be considered.
• PE registration required; must obtain registrations across USA.
• 10+ years in engineering roles with increasing responsibility.
• Familiarity with NEC and IEEE standards in industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, grounding, and control systems for heavy process industries.
• Set up protection and control schemes including relays and motor protection.
• Develop electrical design criteria and one-line diagrams for projects.
• Prepare equipment specs, cable lists, and I/O lists for bids/proposals.
• Coordinate with staff, clients, and contractors; travel within the US and overseas.
