Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Energy & Resources group, focusing on hydroelectric projects and water resources. The candidate will lead design efforts, coordinate with teams, and guide project execution from planning through post-construction.

We value thorough knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and protection schemes, with a track record of working on hydropower facilities. Hybrid work is available with offices in San Diego, Irvine, or Pasadena.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• CA PE license preferred; MS preferred.
• Hydropower experience highly valued and electrical safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design tasks within a multidisciplinary team for water-related hydro projects.
• Supervise project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients and contractors.
• Develop and review electrical specs, drawings, and wiring diagrams; support field investigations and commissioning.
