Job summary

Stantec is seeking an intermediate Civil/Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer for our hydropower and dams group in Southern California (Pasadena, Irvine, or San Diego). You will perform analyses, modeling, and design for energy projects and support construction through QA/QC and field observations.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience and a California PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of civil/hydrologic and hydraulics experience, dams experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
• California Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses and modeling for dam and energy projects.
• Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic modeling with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, LifeSim and FLO2D.
• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for hydraulic structures.
• Support construction with QA/QC and site observation reports.
• Develop technical reports and feasibility studies.
