Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Woodland Hills team. You will design electrical systems, including power, lighting, and coordination with other disciplines, on projects of varying size.

The role entails leading design efforts, QA/QC, and collaborating with diverse offices. Ideal candidates have a PE license, strong communication skills, and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT, OSHPD/HCAi, and energy code compliance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering (licensed for at least 3 years).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Experience with OSHPD/HCAi.
• Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications.
• Perform and supervise the execution of designs, including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layout.
• Perform and supervise the execution of lighting design and calculate footcandles to meet IESNA requirements.
• Attend meetings with clients and provide engineering support through design and construction phases (shop drawings, RFIs, AHJ comments).
• Review deliverables and QA/QC through design and construction.
