Job summary

Coffman Engineers in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join a multi-discipline team. You will design electrical systems, perform load calculations, and coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other engineers on varied projects.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, competitive compensation ($130k–$180k base), discretionary year-end bonus, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents including drawings, power system studies and specifications.
• Oversee designs for medium and low voltage systems and lighting layouts.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other disciplines; respond to RFIs and AHJ comments.
• Conduct site visits and maintain QA/QC through design and construction phases.
• Lead meetings with clients and internal teams; present design approaches to authorities.
