Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our DC Metro office. You will be responsible for the design of electrical systems, leading project teams, and mentoring engineers while interfacing with clients and multidisciplinary staff.

The role requires a PE license and at least 10 years of experience, with a strong background in electrical design, standards, and consulting. Collaboration with business development and proposal teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited college.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management experience and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design of electrical systems for diverse projects.
• Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects with focus on budget and schedule.
• Mentor and lead the design team and coordinate with multidisciplinary offices.
• Develop fee proposals and qualification-based proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver solutions.
