Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for large-scale semiconductor and advanced technology facilities. You will develop load analyses, design low and medium voltage distribution, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure safe, code-compliant, reliable electrical solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, engage with clients and vendors, and oversee design reviews, with a focus on cleanrooms, fab support spaces, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license; responsible charge of electrical design and stamping authority required.
• Demonstrated electrical engineering experience, with a preferred focus on semiconductors and advanced facilities.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution equipment, codes, system coordination, arc flash mitigation, and reliability.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design, documentation, and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from conceptual planning through construction administration.
• Develop load calculations, demand analyses, and distribution strategies for high-reliability environments.
• Design low and medium voltage systems including MV switchgear, substations, transformers, and switchboards.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, and other engineers to fully integrate electrical systems.
• Lead client discussions, evaluate equipment, and support procurement and installation planning.
• Prepare and seal engineering documents and participate in design reviews and QA/QC checks.
• Support field observations, RFIs, and as-built turnover activities during construction.
