Job summary
SSOE in Hillsboro is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for semiconductor/advanced technology facilities, including cleanrooms and fab infrastructure. You will develop concepts, perform load studies, and design low and medium voltage power distribution to support highly sensitive production environments.
You will collaborate with project managers, architects, designers, and engineers across disciplines to deliver code-compliant, constructible solutions from early design
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional engineering licensure (PE) preferred
- FE/EIT exam completion is highly desired
- Experience with electrical design for large facilities in an integrated design-build environment
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design and engineering for advanced technology facilities, including conceptual development and construction documents
- Design and coordinate low and medium voltage distribution systems
- Develop one-lines, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, and calculations
- Conduct load calculations, short-circuit studies, voltage drop analysis, and arc flash mitigation
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate interfaces and manage changes
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and design reviews
- Mentor junior staff and support field activities during construction
