Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and coordination for complex semiconductor and advanced technology facilities. You will drive high-reliability power systems from concept through construction administration, working with architects and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient designs.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and experience in cleanrooms and mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Active PE license with electrical design stamping authority
• Experience leading LV/MV electrical systems for industrial facilities
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, IFC, NFPA standards
• Proven ability to interface with clients and teams and deliver compliant designs

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for semiconductor and tech facilities from concept through construction administration
• Develop load calculations, distribution strategies, and protection schemes for high-reliability environments
• Design LV and MV distribution including switchgear, substations, panels, and busways
• Coordinate with architects, process, mechanical, structural, and fire protection teams
• Lead design reviews, QA/QC, and interdisciplinary coordination milestones
• Support procurement, vendor submittals, RFIs, and field observations during construction
• Mentor junior engineers and support project teams
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements
