Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Houston, TX to oversee substation and transmission line design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, perform studies and calculations, review design deliverables, and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliant, reliable HV systems. The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in downtown Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Professional Engineer license in at least one USA state.
• Experience with large utility-scale solar and wind projects preferred.
• Proficient with ETAP, CYMCAP, WinIGS and related software.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of substation and transmission line project design.
• Review design basis memorandums and guide contractors to meet project requirements.
• Provide electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support for renewables.
• Lead or participate in project meetings and engineering reviews.
• Assist with commissioning, documentation, and project energization.
