Job summary

Amgen Ohio is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the site’s electrical engineering function for a 24/7 final drug product packaging operation. You will oversee reliability, design, and maintenance of MV/LV systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.

Collaborating with Operations, Facilities & Engineering, Quality, and EH&S, you will drive capital projects and mentor staff while upholding NFPA 70E and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master's or bachelor's with required years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering in controlled industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for site electrical infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution and power systems.
• Lead electrical reliability, power quality, and safety initiatives; perform root-cause investigations.
• Develop and maintain electrical standards, procedures, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Support capital projects from planning through commissioning and turnover.
• Ensure compliance with codes, GMP, and site reliability requirements.
• Mentor engineers and staff; communicate risks and priorities to site leadership.
