Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer System Owner to lead the safe, reliable operation and lifecycle management of critical electrical systems within the Facilities & Engineering group. You will oversee design, qualification, and performance enhancements while ensuring compliance and safety.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and coordination across operations, engineering, and safety teams, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 10+ years engineering experience.
• Associates degree with 8+ years engineering experience.
• Bachelors degree with 4+ years engineering experience.
• Masters degree with 2+ years engineering experience.
• Doctorate degree (PhD) preferred or required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Support design and equipment selection from an electrical perspective for process, utilities, and building systems.
• Manage faults and incidents; coordinate response and corrective actions.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and risk; prioritize corrective work.
• Support engineering runs and performance qualification; provide hyper care support.
• Perform engineering assessments and equipment modifications for new products/technology.
• Lead 24/7 on-call readiness and travel up to 10%.
• Deploy AI tools for troubleshooting and fault analysis.
• Collaborate with customers and EHSS for safety initiatives.
• Represent Amgen with external firms and regulatory bodies.
