Job summary
Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Austin to lead electrical design for healthcare, data centers, and related facilities. You will design power, lighting, and fire alarm systems, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical/building services, and proficiency with Revit MEP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, architectural, or building services engineering.
- 8+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for team-based work.
- Experience with 3D BIM software - Revit MEP; PE license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for healthcare and other building projects, including power, lighting, and fire alarm.
- Lead and mentor junior staff and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage client relationships and coordinate with project managers to deliver quality work.
- Review RFIs and submittals from site and perform construction administration tasks.
- Produce drawings, specifications and reports for internal and external use.
- Present technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
