Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead data center electrical design across Seattle, California, or Texas offices. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and present technical material to clients while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a PE license (preferred), 6+ years of data center experience, and strong knowledge of US codes. Revit MEP and PowerTools/AmpCalc are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of professional electrical engineering experience focused on data centers.
• PE license in the US is highly preferred, with ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong knowledge of US codes, standards and data center electrical design.
• Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP.
• Experience with electrical analysis tools like PowerTools and AmpCalc.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design efforts for data center projects.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for seamless project integration.
• Manage schedules, budgets and technical deliverables with PMs and clients.
• Present technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Deliver timely feedback and foster team development.
• Stay current with industry trends in data center electrical systems.
