Job summary

Broadata Communications, Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware bring-up, verification, and troubleshooting for Pro AV products. You will bridge hardware test and automated test development, solving complex issues with hands-on hardware development.

The role emphasizes debugging analog/digital/mixed-signal circuits, collaborating with software/firmware/FPGA teams, and driving manufacturing test readiness in a fast-paced environment. On-site only.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years hands-on electronics development, hardware validation, board bring-up, and troubleshooting.
Experience with embedded hardware bring-up and V&V testing.
Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and PCB layouts.
Experience with common embedded protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB).
Familiarity with ISO‑regulated development environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in hardware development, reviews, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and documentation of video system designs.
Perform board bring-up: power rails, processor init, memory, interface tests.
Execute design verification and validation for new products and prototypes.
Troubleshoot hardware and automated test systems; determine root causes.
Develop and deploy automated test systems for engineering validation and manufacturing.
Produce engineering test reports, validation plans, and test results.
