Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) in Torrance, CA seeks a hands-on Senior Hardware Design Engineer to design, simulate, bring up, and validate complex mixed-signal and high-speed digital hardware for video, fiber, and mission-critical products.

The role emphasizes schematic design, PCB layout, signal integrity, power integrity, and DFM/DFT reviews using Altium Designer. Ansys HFSS expertise is a plus; on-site work only, with rapid growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred).
• 8+ years of hands-on hardware design experience with high-speed analog/digital, embedded, video, networking, or mission-critical products.
• Strong experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience with high-speed simulation, signal integrity, and power integrity analyses.
• HFSS experience is a plus for 3D EM extraction.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level hardware design from requirements to production release.
• Create and maintain multi-sheet schematics in Altium Designer for video, high-speed digital, embedded processors, FPGA/CPLD, power, analog, isolation, and fiber optic interfaces.
• Support PCB layout including placement, stack-up, impedance control, routing constraints, length matching, and differential pairs.
• Define high-speed layout requirements for HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, DVI, SDI, SFP/SFP+, PCIe, Ethernet, and other interfaces.
• Perform pre- and post-layout SI/PI simulations to reduce jitter, crosstalk, and reflections.
• Lead brings-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and ECO/ECN activities.
• Collaborate with product teams, mechanical, firmware, FPGA, software, test, and manufacturing.
