Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Group Leader to design building infrastructure for diverse projects including healthcare, data centers, science & technology, academic and commercial buildings, with a hybrid schedule.

You will serve as lead project engineer from concept to construction, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, lead the electrical team, and guide construction documents, field visits, RFIs, and shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of the NEC, IBC and IECC.
• PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineer on commercial projects from concept to construction.
• Coordinate design with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Design power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power per NEC codes.
• Develop specifications, diagrams, load calculations, schedules.
• Lead electrical team and guide construction documents and technical issues.
• Perform construction administration: field visits, RFIs, shop drawings.
