Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer / Group Leader in Philadelphia to design building infrastructure across healthcare, data centers, science & technology, and commercial projects. The role combines leadership of the electrical team with hands-on design from concept to construction.

The position supports a hybrid schedule (up to 2 days remote per week) and requires 15+ years of experience, a BS in electrical engineering and NEC/IBC/IECC knowledge; PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related experience
• Understanding of NEC, IBC and IECC
• PE license is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineer on commercial projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate design with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Design power distribution, lighting, and standby power per NEC/code requirements.
• Develop specifications, site and lighting plans, load calculations and schedules.
• Lead the electrical team and provide technical guidance during construction documents.
• Perform Construction Administration tasks including site visits and RFIs.
