Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Newark, NJ office on a hybrid schedule. You will work within a project team to develop electrical documents for large-scale building projects and coordinate with Architects, MEPs, and other engineers to ensure integrated systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 3+ years of related experience; Revit knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop project documents for large-scale, complex building projects.
• Coordinate with design team members to ensure electrical systems are integrated.
• Design power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems per NEC codes.
• Serve as design engineer from schematic to construction across diverse project types.
• Familiarize with applicable codes and standards.
