Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design building infrastructure for large scale mission critical data center projects. This role offers a hybrid schedule at our Charlotte, NC office and career growth within a nationally recognized engineering firm.

The candidate will lead engineering solutions, manage electrical distribution concepts, and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing Electrical systems in high-performance facilities.
• Revit knowledge is a plus.
• PE license is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in the production of engineering solutions for large scale data centers.
• Understanding of electrical distribution equipment and workspace requirements: general power for data centers.
• General power for data centers, office, labs, schools (lighting layout, circuitry and controls).
• Working with electrical distribution equipment that includes generators, ATS and UPS.
• Use Revit to model electrical systems.
• Document design calculations and design path decisions.
• Create specifications for projects.
