Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Newark, NJ is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a full-time, hybrid role next to the train station, with a salary range of $150,000–$165,000 plus annual bonus.

You lead the project electrical team from concept through construction, design power distribution and lighting, develop plans and load calculations, perform QA reviews, and support field activities on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineer on a variety of projects from new construction to renovations through all phases from conceptual design to construction.
• Design of power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power supply.
• Develop specifications, legends, site plans, lighting plans, power plans, one-lines, riser diagrams, details as well as load calculations.
• Perform quality control reviews at various stages of design.
• Lead the project electrical team of engineers and designers and provide technical guidance in the development of the construction documents
• Perform Construction Administration tasks such as field visits and subsequent issuance of field reports, responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.
