Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to grid infrastructure projects, focusing on design, planning, and implementation of electrical networks, substations, and related infrastructure for reliable power delivery.

You will engage in technical analysis, project coordination, and ensure compliance with grid codes and standards, with a strong emphasis on robust, efficient grid solutions and collaboration with external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years in electrical engineering with power systems and grid infrastructure.
• Proficiency in design software and power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP).
• Strong understanding of substation design, protection relays, and HV equipment.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Conduct power system studies, including load forecasting, fault analysis, and protection scheme design.
• Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of grid equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with national/international standards and grid codes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Collaborate with utility providers, contractors, and stakeholders to hit milestones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within grid infrastructure.
