Job summary

LiveWire Construction, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer (PE) to head electrical design for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects. You will act as Engineer of Record when needed, guide design-build and EPC efforts, review shop drawings, and mentor a growing team.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8+ years in electrical engineering within related sectors, and strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred) or equivalent.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
8+ years electrical engineering experience in commercial, industrial, renewable energy or electrical construction.
Experience leading engineering efforts for design-build projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC and applicable electrical standards.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and design activities for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) when required and provide technical oversight.
Establish and maintain engineering standards, design criteria, and best practices.
Collaborate with estimating, operations, project management, procurement, and field teams.
Lead design-build and EPC projects from conceptual development through commissioning.
Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and support professional development.
