Job summary

AEC Talent Acquisition is seeking a licensed Florida Professional Engineer to lead electrical design projects and oversee the electrical engineering department for commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects.

You will provide technical leadership, manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and serve as primary client contact, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Florida PE license is required.
• NCEES Record is required.
• Ability to obtain licensure in additional states is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical department in delivering high-quality engineering designs while meeting budget and profitability goals.
• Manage and oversee the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and serve as the primary client contact.
• Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and client meetings.
• Review project designs for quality, code compliance, and technical accuracy.
• Develop project proposals, budgets, and manage project costs.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
• Mentor and support engineering staff.
