Job summary

LiveWire Construction LLC is seeking a Lead Engineer (PE) to head electrical engineering for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects in Illinois. The role encompasses design, EOR duties, and cross‑functional leadership to drive project execution from concept to commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong NEC/IEEE knowledge, with a proven track record in design‑build and EPC environments.

Qualifications

• PE license is active and required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in relevant environments.
• Experience leading design-build and EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC and codes.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design activities for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) when required and ensure quality control.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and design criteria.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, project management, and field teams.
• Support preconstruction, budgeting, and value engineering efforts.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
