Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Electrical Professional Engineer II to independently design and coordinate electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on healthcare campuses and colleges. This role ensures code‑compliant, constructible designs including power distribution, renewables, storage, and controls integration while solving complex technical challenges.

It leads portions of projects and coordinates across disciplines within ENFRA’s design‑build framework.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or related field.
7+ years of design experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

Signing and sealing engineering documents.
Lead solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP designs with guidance from senior engineers.
Develop detailed deliverables including one-lines, load calculations, and specifications.
Perform calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short‑circuit and breaker coordination studies.
Support system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations.
Coordinate across disciplines including mechanical, controls, and construction teams; conduct 3D laser scanning.
May act as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
Mentor junior engineers and designers; interface with clients on technical matters.
