Job summary

ENFRA seeks an Electrical Professional Engineer III to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of complex electrical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

You will manage multidisciplinary design teams, ensure code-compliant and constructible solutions, mentor junior engineers, and support permitting, procurement, and energy efficiency goals within ENFRA’s design-build model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• PE license required.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
• Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal engineering documents and ensure quality standards.
• Lead and review designs solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and CHP plants.
• Perform and review calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit studies.
• Manage electrical scope including schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Oversee field investigations and site visits; may review 3D laser scanning efforts.
• Resolve highly complex technical and coordination challenges.
• Provide technical oversight and review of junior staff work.
• Perform work independently with broad authority.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and external stakeholders.
• Support existing client relationships through technical input and proposals.
