Job summary

Raytheon in Portsmouth, RI seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive analog, digital, and mixed-signal design, plus embedded software and GUI tool development. A current DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

You will lead technical design, manage projects, and coordinate with engineering and program leadership to meet performance and schedule goals in a DoD environment. Relocation assistance is available and the salary range is highly competitive.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, Fiber optics.
Experience in signal processing using tools such as Matlab.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform technical design in Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, fiber‑optic, FPGA, and software disciplines, including developing embedded software and GUI interfaces.
Monitor project progress, identify risks in sufficient time to implement mitigation strategies, and ensure the delivery of products meet performance requirements.
Close management of design completion while balancing performance and meeting customer schedules.
Act as primary point of contact for project updates with Engineering and Program leadership.
Support cost estimating, management, and technical status for the execution of the capital project.
