Job summary
Raytheon, in Portsmouth, RI, is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Undersea and Electronics Systems (UES) Department. The role focuses on analog, digital, and mixed-signal design with embedded software and GUI tool development. A current Secret clearance is required, along with U.S.
citizenship, to support defense programs. You will manage projects, align with requirements and schedules, and collaborate with customers and subcontractors. Prior experience in naval programs is valued.
Qualifications
- STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
- Experience in Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, Fiber optics.
- Experience with Matlab for signal processing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal hardware and software.
- Develop embedded software and GUI tools; support project goals and schedules.
- Coordinate with program leadership; track progress and manage risks.
- Apply hardware engineering knowledge to ensure technical execution.
- Support cost estimation, management, and status reporting for capital projects.
