Job summary

RTX, Tucson, AZ, seeks an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead digital design for flight guidance systems. You will drive FPGA-focused development, mentor teams, and coordinate with suppliers. Strong electronics background and DoD clearance are required.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, travel ~25%, and contribute to system architecture, requirements, integration, and test efforts in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design and integration.
• Subsystem architectural design and requirements development.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support digital design efforts for guidance systems.
• Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.
• Support design reviews and component-level testing.
• Travel up to ~25%.
• Architect, develop, document subsystem requirements and test plans.
