Job summary

SST Direct is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX to lead electrical design through all project phases. You will develop drawings, specs, and calculations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver constructible solutions.

The role requires a PE license, 6+ years of related experience, and proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling. Strong communication and QA/QC focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design or modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations through all project phases.
• Coordinate electrical design with multidisciplinary teams to ensure constructible solutions.
• Lead construction administration activities, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Review deliverables for technical accuracy, quality, and alignment with scope.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and risk evaluation.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve design discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and standardization.
