Job summary

Design Hire LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a senior mechanical or chemical engineer to lead multi-discipline design efforts for complex facilities, including semiconductor plants and HVAC systems.

You will author P&ID drawings, specs and procedures while coordinating with team members during design reviews and construction support. PE/EIT progression and strong communication are valued traits.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent from an accredited university is required.
• EIT certification is a plus; PE license or ability to obtain PE within 1-2 years is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience at an architectural/engineering consulting firm is expected.
• Knowledge of basic building code requirements is expected.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and process systems for a range from simple to complex projects.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline design team members.
• Participate in client design reviews and present design strategies.
• Prepare P&ID drawings, construction specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents and reports.
• Provide field support during construction including site observations, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
