Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, hydronic, and mechanical equipment systems.
• Experience with construction administration, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and field evaluations.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D mechanical modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of applicable mechanical codes, engineering standards, and design practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and production of mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all design phases.
• Design and evaluate mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, hydronic, and mechanical equipment systems, ensuring code compliance and project specifications.
• Review deliverables for technical accuracy and coordination with other disciplines.
• Utilize CAD and 3D modeling to develop, review, and coordinate mechanical drawings and models.
• Lead construction administration activities, including review of shop drawings and RFIs, and field visits.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design discrepancies.
• Support project management with mechanical scope development, cost tracking, and scheduling.
• Apply independent engineering judgment to troubleshoot complex design and construction issues and propose code-compliant solutions.
• Support QA/QC efforts by reviewing documents and ensuring alignment with approved designs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, technical standards, and design processes.
